Addis Ababa - Hyenas have attacked and
eaten three men in three different parts of eastern Ethiopia, the ENA agency
said on Friday, citing a police report.
The three victims were killed a week ago in the Fedis administrative area, about 30 kilometres south of Harar, while three others were seriously injured by hyenas in the same area. Six wild beasts were killed by villagers following the attacks, ENA said. Fifty people, 35 of them children, were victims of a "hyena invasion" between October 1998 and January this year in the zone of El Kere and Bare in southern Ethiopia. - Sapa-AFP |
