Alligators wake up sleepwalker

From The Telegraph (UK)

Report of  November 26, 1998

A 77-year-old sleepwalker awoke in a muddy pond and had to use his cane to fend off alligators. James Currens wandered behind his home in Palm Harbor, Florida, and woke up in several feet of water, with his legs stuck in the mud. He said several alligators, some longer than three feet, came around.

Mr Currens said he poked at them with his cane to try to keep them away. A neighbour heard him yelling and called police, who used lights to scare off the alligators and freed Mr Currens, who suffered only minor injuries from the fall. Return to top
