TOP SECRET ANIMAL ATTACK FILES
Associated Press report from Boston Globe

 Pit Bull Attack

              By Associated Press, 8/16/2001 19:36

SWANZEY, N.H. (AP) A pit-bull terrier may have sealed his
fate by biting a worker at the Humane Society.

The dog was being held at the Monadnock Humane Society
while its owner appealed a court order that it be put to death
for escaping from its home in Keene twice and attacking other
              dogs.

But Thursday, owner Matthew Bemis said if the dog bit the
humane society worker, he should be put down.

The society director said the dog bit worker Jamie Eastman
seven or eight times on the leg, shoulder, arms and side.
